Essential Aid Tickets

We offer a number of essential aid or carers tickets (subject to availability) at a discount or no additional cost. This is eligible to customers who meet the criteria and would be unable to attend an event without the support of another person, who can assist in the event of an emergency. These tickets need to be applied for by contacting us here.

Accessible Areas

Given the ability for the Arena to be used in an endless variety of formats, the precise combination of wheelchair spaces will be determined on an event by event basis dependent on event format, and where practicable, a choice of locations are offered.

Tickets within the wheelchair areas can be purchased online via the specified ticket provider, however Braehead Arena strongly recommends that customers with disabilities notify us at the time of booking of any additional requirements or assistance needs in order to offer the best possible service.

Travel Guide

Disabled parking bays are available in the Braehead Arena blue multi storey car park closes to the building. The car park operates on a first come first served basis only for all parking spaces. Blue badge holders must display their blue badges at all times whilst parked.

There is a taxi rank at the front of Braehead Shopping Centre for drop-off and pick ups.

Arrival Guide

Entry into the venue is either via the Braehead Arena main entrance adjacent to Pizza Hut on the first floor of the Braehead Shopping Centre food court or via our Braehead Ice Centre branded entrance on the ground floor of the Braehead Shopping Centre food court adjacent to Costa Coffee.

This is depending on the actual event, the entrance in use will be communicated to the ticket holders direct or via Braehead Arena social channels in advance of the events

Staff are on hand at events to provide assistance if required.

Toilets

There is a unisex, wheelchair-accessible toilet complete with baby changing facilities in the Braehead Arena foyer.

Within Braehead Shopping Centre, there is an award-winning baby changing and feeding facility.

You will find this area on the upper level of the centre between Timpsons and Spud-u-like. Or simply ask a member of their team and they will point you in the right direction.

Within this area we have changing stations, bottle warmers and a private feeding area should you require it.

Customers with Medical Requirements

The Braehead Arena has a strict no food or drink policy in terms of items brought into the venue. However, we do welcome visitors who need to bring medicines, food or drink to manage a medical condition. To ensure we know about your needs we encourage customers to inform us in advance of events.

There is a Medical Room on the ground floor of the arena. Qualified medical staff are on duty when the arena is open to the public at all times. In the event of a medical emergency, please notify a steward who will radio for medical assistance.

Should you require a private area for personal care (e.g. private changing facilities / medicine storage or refrigeration) please speak to the staff who should be able to assist you.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome, but visitors are asked to bear in mind the noise levels at concerts and the potential use of special effects including pyrotechnics.

Strobe Lighting

Strobe lighting may be used during some performances and may not be communicated to the arena until the day of the event. Customers will be notified in advance (most commonly via signage on doors) or via Braehead Arena social channels if a performances includes the use of strobe lighting.
